1. Who we are

Global Pacific Business LLC is a US-incorporated company operating in the real estate sector in Southern Costa Rica, based in Uvita de Osa, Puntarenas. This policy describes how we collect, use, store and protect the personal data you share with us through this website.

2. What data we collect

We only collect data that you voluntarily provide when completing the contact form on this site:

• Full name
• Country of residence
• Contact information: email and/or WhatsApp number
• Type of interest: buy, rent, advisory
• Budget range (optional)
• Free-form message with details about what you're looking for (optional)

We do not automatically collect other personal data beyond the basic technical information from the browser (device type, language) necessary for the site to function.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Respond to your inquiry about properties for sale or rent.
• Send you information about properties matching your criteria.
• Maintain communication with you during the process of search, viewing, negotiation or purchase.

We do not use your data for advertising, mass marketing, mailing lists, nor do we share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Who has access to your data

Only the Global Pacific Business LLC team accesses the information you send us. We do not sell, rent or transfer your personal data to third parties. If, during the closing process of a property, it becomes necessary to share data with a notary, attorney or financial institution, we will inform you in advance and your authorization will be required.

5. Where your data is stored

Data submitted through the form is stored on professional services with international security standards: Netlify (hosting), Firebase (database, Google Cloud), and domain mail servers. All these services comply with international data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA).

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your data while there is an active relationship of inquiry, search or purchase. If a prolonged period passes without contact and the inquiry doesn't progress, the data is deleted within a reasonable timeframe. You can request deletion at any time.

7. Your rights (ARCO)

Under Costa Rica Law 8968, you have the right to:

• Access: know what data of yours we have stored.
• Rectification: correct inaccurate data.
• Cancellation: request deletion of your data.
• Objection: object to the processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@globalpacificbusiness.com indicating your request. We respond within a maximum of five business days.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not use advertising tracking or third-party cookies. We only store in your browser, via localStorage, your language preference (Spanish or English) so you don't have to select it every time. This is not personal data and you can delete it from your browser settings.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, loss or disclosure. This includes encrypted connection (HTTPS), authentication on administrative panels and restricted access rules on the database.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when site practices or applicable regulations change. The current version is always published on this page, with the last update date at the bottom.
